Immersed in a monochromatic landscape of surrealism, Tin Lizards is a testament to the enduring allure of train travel. Each location featured was reached by train, departing from Robert LeBlanc’s, the photographer and co-director, home base in Los Angeles. As the rhythmic clatter of steel on steel propels LeBlanc forward, he captures the essence of exploration and discovery, weaving a captivating tapestry of photographs from the places he encounters, showcasing the delicate balance between stillness and movement. From the solitude of his sleeper car to the enchanting hush of small towns and the bustling energy of major cities, LeBlanc adeptly frames these diverse landscapes with an artistic eye that finds beauty in even the quietest moments.

Supported by Fahey/Klein Gallery and the adventurous spirit of Arc'teryx, LeBlanc's body of work is a harmonious collaboration between artistic vision and wanderlust. In the realms of Tin Lizards, dreams collide with reality, memories are etched in silver halides, and the world becomes a canvas for contemplation and wonder. This body of work invites us to embark on a poignant voyage, one where the soul of the country reveals itself through the gentle embrace of train travel and the monochromatic magic of the photographic lens.

Cultivated at the intersection of photography and digital artistry, Tin Lizards blossomed from the collaborative efforts of LeBlanc and 96 Studio, accompanied by a handpicked assembly of ten art collectors. Each collector was granted a ticket to access the project's voting token-gated website.

Ticket made in collaboration with artist Carrie Chen.

These collectors didn't merely observe; they actively steered the project's direction. Through online voting, they charted the course of Amtrak destinations. They even weighed in on Robert's dining and lodging choices, akin to the interactive allure of 'choose your own adventure' narratives, albeit in a digital arena.

This immersive journey endows collectors with a distinctive vantage point, allowing them to witness the birth and execution of a creative vision. Furthermore, they participate in curatorial decisions, influencing the final selection of images in the series. This entire process unfolds with utmost transparency, facilitated by Snapshot—a token-gated platform—ensuring the preservation of project details on the blockchain. A Twitter community page and Instagram account were also created for the public to tag along and watch the project as it develops.

'Tin Lizards' encapsulates not only artistic expression but a collaborative and dynamic venture, inviting collectors to partake in its creation, thus making it a testament to art's evolving landscape."
